As crisis managers, we are expected to remain calm and in charge during a disaster or crisis event. People turn to us for guidance, support, and information during the worst possible times. But what does a crisis manager do when the crisis impacts them? What is their procedure to follow? Who is there to assist? Who covers for the crisis manager?
This session will focus on three real-life scenarios where the crisis manager had to deal with real-life disaster situations. One scenario is a company declaring a disaster due to a hurricane, the second is when the crisis manager’s position was downsized and third, when a medical emergency thrusts the crisis manager into a situation they were unprepared for.
