Take the Baton and Run! Pick Up Your Business Continuity Program Where Someone Else Left Off

Were you recently asked to run your organization’s business continuity or COOP program? Congratulations! Before you started, were different resources utilized to initiate the plans or program? Great, you have something to work with! But once you joined the race, were you in need of some best practices to consider how best to move the program forward internally? Yes? Then you’ve come to the right discussion! During this session, we will discuss how to ensure you are warmed up for your leg of the relay and how to keep yourself in the race. Leveraging both public and private sector perspectives, discussion areas will include how to conduct an “audit” of previous deliverables, actions, and expectations as you are handed the baton. We will also discuss how to establish yourself as the new runner in the race while navigating through any adjustments; all while ensuring the program will best serve your organization.
