Larry Sigler will present: Waffle House Index.
Larry will present the background and show some examples of the various storms Waffle House has encountered recently. In addition, he will cover Waffle House's plan of action before and after the storm.
Larry Sigler is the Director of Food Safety for Waffle House. His duties entail developing food safety policies for the company and coordinating these policies with the Operations Team. A 22-year Associate, Larry has been involved in designing training for the Waffle House Team and working with numerous departments in the ongoing food safety initiatives.
His main duty during a crisis is to coordinate response activities with health department and emergency management teams in the affected area either on the ground or in the corporate office. As a member of the corporate crisis team, he’s been involved in over fourteen responses to hurricanes and other crises. Larry is a member of the Conference for Food Protection, AFDO, and numerous state organizations where Waffle Houses are located.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, Larry took the lead in coordinating policies and procedures related to the crisis. He also handled tracking cases in restaurants and the quarantine and testing of Associates when necessary.
