Benj Korson is the Emergency Operations Manager for the City of Dallas, Department of Aviation which encompasses the Dallas Airport System, including Dallas Love Field (KDAL), Dallas Executive Field (KRBD), and Dallas Vertiport (49T). He manages the Emergency Management Division which is responsible for the emergency preparedness, emergency response, and continuity of operations of all of the airfields. He also manages the Airport Operations Center, which is responsible for the day-to-day coordination and communication of the airfields. He has 14 years of emergency management industry experience with public, private, and non-profit sectors in local, state, national, and international programs.

Benj will present how the airfield prepared for, responded to, and recovered from the extreme winter weather events, and how they went about the improvement process afterwards. He highlights the challenges with complex incident management (COVID environment, infrastructure failure, supply chain failure, and extreme weather).
